Tuesday, July 15, 2008 Twitter Buys SummizeHigh profile messaging service startup Twitter said last night that it has acquired Summize, a provider of tracking and filtering Twitter conversations. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Twitter, all five of the engineers working on Summize will move to San Francisco and take jobs at Twitter, Inc. Summize allows anyone to search Twitter and track trends within the service; the firm's services have been widely used by Twitter users to accommodate for problems with scaling at the service. posted on Tuesday, July 15, 2008
