    Verticals onDemand Closes Series A


    Pleasanton-based Verticals onDemand, a provider of CRM solutions based on the saleforce.com Apex platform, is announcing Monday that it has closed a Series A funding from private investors. Amount of the deal and investors were not disclosed. Verticals onDemand said it will have an initial focus on CRM applications in the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical device areas. The firm was founded in January by executives from Oracle, Siebel Systems, PeopleSoft, and salesforce.com. The firm's co-chairman is Craig Ramsey, who is also a board member of salesforce.com.
