    Vudu Adds 1080p Support


    Santa Clara-based Vudu, a provider of Internet video-on-demand hardware, said Thursday that it has added new 1080p, HD support to its product. According to Vudu, its new HDX format allows its customers to view Internet moviie content in full High Definition 1080p format. According to the firm, it currently has a library of 65 films in the HD format, and will offer every newly released HD title in the format. Vudu manufactures a digital multimedia receiver which downloads movie content from the Internet.
