Vungle Raises $2M

San Francisco-based Vungle, which develosp a aservice that helps mobile developers create video-based promotions for their apps, said yesterday that it has raised $2M in a funding round. The round came from Google Ventures, AOL Ventures, Crosslink Capital and angel investors including Charles Hudson’s SoftTech VC, Ron Conway’s SV Angel, Dave McClure’s 500 Startups, Maynard Webb, Scott McNealy and Tim Draper. Vungle allows mobile apps to create video trailers--similar to movie trailers--showing an application running before a user downloads it. Vungle is led by Zain Jaffer, who is also co-founder of the company. More information »
