    Wink Merges With Reunion.com


    Mountain View-based people search engine Wink has merged with Reunion.com, a Los Angeles-based people search service. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Reunion.com, Wink will become part of a new online platform for helping people to find each other on the web. Wink specialized in searching social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, Friendster, and other sites for friends and acquaintances. The firm was backed by Cambrian Ventures and Greylock Partners, and was headed by Michael Tanne, formerly of X-Degrees and AdForce. Reunion.com operates an online people search site, and is venture backed by more than $25M in funding from Oak Investment Partners.
