    Zannel Inks Deal With Country's Keith Urban


    San Francisco-based Zannel reported this week that the firm has inked an exclusive deal with country music star Keith Urban, where it will launch a iPhone and iPod touch application focused on Urban. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Zannel said it has created the "Keith Urban VIP Pass" to provide video, pictures, and text updates to fans. The new app is selling for $1.99 from Apple's App Store, and is the second celebrity deal for the firm, which recently also launched "Dane Cook Global" on the iPhone. Zannel said the new deal with Urban is a "important expansion" of the firm's platform for musicians and bands; the deal did not say if it had any other deals in the works, but said that its platform will offer performs a "unique offering" to extend their social media efforts.
