    Zuora Takes On Content Paywalls


    San Francisco-based Zuora, a provider of billing and payments services for online providers, said today that it is looking to help out media companies with a new product. According to Zuora, it is rolling out Z-Commerce for Media, which is designed to help publishers monetize their online content. The firm said its new product will handle mapping online content to different pricing plans, and manage subscriptions, bi;ling and payments. Pricing on the new product was not disclosed. Zuora said its product is being used by The GigaOM Network and Reed Business Information. Zuora is backed by Shasta Ventures, Lehman Brothers Venture Partners, Benchmark Capital and Marc Benioff.
