Apple Acquires Matcha.tv

Apple has acquired Matcha.tv, a now defunct social TV service, acquiring both the company's team and intellectual assets. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Matcha had provided a mobile app which helped users discover movies and television shows, but shut down earlier this year.
