Backstage Capital Announces Six Investments
San Francisco-based Backstage Capital, a new venture capital firm which say sit is the first firm founded by a "LGBT black woman", said it has made six investments into a number of companies. The firm said it has invested in Kairos, Wedspire, TextEngine, and Nailsnaps, in the amounts ranging from $25,000 to $100,000. Backstage Capital says its LPs include Marc Andreessen, Susan Kimberlin (Salesforce), Brad Feld, Leslie Miley (Twitter), and Lars Rasmussen (Google Maps). Backstage Capital was founded by Arlan Hamilton.
