Basis Science Gets $11.75M For Personal Health Tracking

San Francisco-based Basis Science, the developer of a device for personal health tracking, has raised $11.75M in an extension of its Series B funding, the company said this morning. The funding came from Intel Capital, iNovia Capital, Dolby Family Trust, Stanford University and Peninsula-KCG, along with Mayfield Fund, DCM and Norwest Venture Partners. Basis, which is headed by Jef Holove, develops a smartphone-connected sensor to track a user's activity, steps taken, sleep patterns, and calories burned. More information »
