Carta Collects $80M For Equity Management
Palo Alto-based Carta, a startup developing software used to manage equity grants and cap tables, has raised $80M in its Series D funding, the company said over the holidays. The company said the funding was led by Meritech and Tribe Capital. The company--formerly known as eShares--says the new funding values the company at $800M. Carta was co-founded by Henry Ward and Manu Kumar. The company says its software is used for cap tables and 409As for more than 10,000 companies.
