Corelight Secures $9.2M
San Francisco-based Corelight, a developer of network appliances used to monitor networks for cybersecurity incident response and monitoring, has raised $9.2M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Accel Partners, and also included Osage University Partners and Riverbed Technology Co-founder Dr. Steve McCanne. Corelight's founders include Dr. Vern Paxon (Professor of Computer Science at UC Berkeley, Chief Scientist at Corelight); Robin Sommer (CTO); and Seth Hall (Chief Evangelist) . The company said the funding will go towards growth plans, plus sales, marketing and engineering.
