Engage3 Gets Funding From Publisher McClatchy
San Francisco-based Engage3, a developer of a mobile app, ShoppingScout, which helps consumers find information on both brands and retailers, has scored a strategic investment from publisher The McClatchy Company. Size of the strategic investment was not announced. The companies said the investment comes along with working together to figure out where McClatchy's media properties can take advantage of Engage3's ShoppingScout personalized, mobile shopping app. McClatchy is the owner of a large number of newspapers, including the Miami Herald and the Sacramento Bee.
