Farmigo Gets $8M For Local Food

Farmigo, a startup trying to make it easier for people to connect to local farmers for their food, said today that it has raised $8M in a Series B round, and has launched a new "food community" in San Francisco and New York. The Palo Alto startup said the funding was led by Sherbrooke Capital, and also included RSF Social Finance and Benchmark Capital. Farmigo's online service helps connect consumers with local farms, allowing them to receive delivery of produce directly from local farmers at their workplace. Farmigo is headed by Benzi Ronen.
