IntegenX Lands $40M

Pleasanton-based IntegenX, which is developing rapid human DNA identification technology, said this morning that it has raised $40M in a Series C funding. The funding was led by Essex Woodlands, and also included Domain Associates, QuestMark Partners, Greenspring Associates, Cross Creek Capital, RONAholdings LLC, Samsung Ventures, and In-Q-Tel. Ronald Eastman of Essex Woodlands and Ben Shapiro of QuestMark join the company's board wit the funding. IntegenX develops a human DNA profiling system which can provide a DNA profile in less than 90 minutes--fast enough to be used in law enforcement or other identification uses. More information »
