Intersil Buys Kenet
Milpitas-based Intersil, a manufacturer of analog semiconductors, said Tuesday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Kenet, Incorporated, a fabless semiconductor firm that develops high speed, low power data converters. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Kenet's products are used for analog-to-digital (A/D) converters, used in oscilloscopes and software-defined radio applications. Kenet was advised by Signal Hill in the transaction.
