Intuit CEO Steps Down

Mountain View-based Intuit said last night that its current President and CEO, Steve Bennett, is stepping down from the company at the end of the year. Intuit said that Bennett will remain a board member of the firm, and will serve as a consultant to the company through July 2008. Bennett will be replaced by Brad Smith, who is currently Senior Vice President and General Manager of the company's Small Business division, on January 1st. Smith has been at Intuit since February of 2003.
