Joyus Gets $24M For Internet Video Shopping

San Jose-based Joyus, an online, video-focused retailer, said last week that it has raised $24M in a funding round. The funding was led by Marker LLC and Steamboat Ventures, and also included Accel Partners, InterWest and Time Warner Investments. Joyus--which calls itself a "direct response online video network"--publishes online videos in the area of apparel, beauty, accessories, and health, all tied into an online e-commerce and ordering system. The service looks to do for Internet video what HSN and other channels have done for cable. The company is led by Sukhinder Singh Cassidy. More information »
