Kinetica Connects With $50M For GPU Database Software

San Francisco-based Kinetica, a developer of GPU-accelerated, relational database software, has raised $50M in a Series F funding round, the company said yesterday. The funding was led by Canvas Ventures and Meritech Capital Partners, and also included Citi Ventures and Ray Lane of GreatPoint Ventures. Kinetica, which is an outgrowth of technology developed for the National Security Agency (NSA), was co-founded by Amit Vij and Nima Negahban.
