Layer Lands $15M

San Francisco-based Layer, which develops mobile communications software for the business market, said late last week that it raised $15M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Greycroft Partners, and also included Microsoft Ventures and Salesforce Ventures. As part of the funding, Layer disclosed that it had acquired another messaging startup, Cola. Financial terms of that buy were not announced.
