MasterClass Gets $35M In Series C Funding

San Francisco-based online education company MasterClass announced this morning that it has raised $35M more in a Series C funding, which was led by IVP and GSC Acceleration and Sam Lessin. Other investors in the round included New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Javelin Venture Partners, Bloomberg Beta, Advancit Capital, Novel TMT, Yan-David Erlich, and Matthew Rutler (MX Investments). MasterClass says it has now raised a total of $56.4M. The company's online site features classes taught by such high profile celebrities as Aaron Sorkin, Christina Aguilera, Serena Williams, Gordon Ramsay, and Frank Gehry. MasterClass is led by CEO David Rogier.
