MasterClass Gets $15M For Online Learning From Celebrities
San Francisco-based MasterClass, a startup which operates an online site for learning from such people as Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Spacey, Christina Guilera, Serena Williams, James Patterson and Usher, has raised $15M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by New Enterprise Associates, and also included Javelin Venture Partners and Harrison Metal, along with Bloomberg Beta, Novel TMT Ventures, Advancit Capital, WME Ventures, Downey Ventures, Usher, Yan-David Erlich and Matthew Rutler (MX Investments). The funding brings the company's total raised to $21.4M, including a $4.5M Series A and $1.9M in seed funding. More information »
