Khosla Invests In GarageBand.com
San Francisco-based GarageBand.com has received $2.5M in a venture investment led by Khosla Ventures, the firm said today. The round included financing from strategic investors Bob Pittman, co-founder of MTV and former head of AOL; Herbert Allen III of Allen & Company; and others. Pittman and Vinod Khosla of Khosla Ventures will join the company's board of directors. GarageBand.com proivdes an online community of music listeners. The company also said that it would also be expanding its services by launching iLike, a music discovery service that connects into Apple's popular iTunes music service.
