Secure Computing Closes CipherTrust Acquisition
San Jose-based Secure Computing said Thursday evening that it has closed its acquisition of CipherTrust, a provider of message security hardware. The deal was worth $258.5M based on Secure Computing closing price. The deal was worth $185M in cash, 10 million shares of Secure Computing stock, and a $10M seller note. Both companies provide enterprise security gateways used to protect companies against spam, viruses, and malware.
