Solaria Gets $22M
Fremont-based Solaris has received $22M in Series B funding, the company said today. The funding came from Sigma Partners, NGEN Partners, Q-Cells, and Moser Baer. Solaris is developing low concentration solar technology which allows the manufacture of silicon cells with less material. Solaris said that its technology enables the solar industry to produce two to three times the number of PV modules from the same amount of silicon material.
