UTStarcom Hires Investment Bank
Alameda-based UTStarcom has hired an investment bank to explore "strategic alternatives", the company said last night. The firm, which makes wireless equipment, said last night that it has hired Merrill Lynch to explore a variety of strategic alternatives to enhance stockholder value. UTStarcom develops broadband, wireless, and handset hardware for IP-based networks.
