Boise, Idaho-based Micron Technology said Monday afternoon that it has acquired the imaging sensor business of San Jose, California-based Avago. The deal was worth $53M, plus contingent payments. According to Micron, the team joining Micron includes 90 employees, from Corvallis, Oregon; Fort Collins, Colorado; San Jose, California, and Penang, Malaysia. The group consists mostly of engineers and develops CMOS imaging products. The imaging sensor group will join Micron's existing imaging group.
