Fiberxon Acquired by MRV
Chatsworth, California-based MRV Communications said this morning it is acquiring Santa Clara-based Fiberxon, a manufacturer of optical transceivers, in a $131M cash and stock deal. Fiberxon employs over 700 and develops metro, access, EPON and GPON transceivers. The firm's unaudited 2006 revenues were expected to be in the range of $45 to $48M, according to Fiberxon. MRV will combine Fiberxon with its subsidiary, Luminent.
