LS9 Gets Series A Funding
San Carlos-based LS9, a company developing synthetic biology products for proprietary biofuels and industrial chemicals, announced today that it has raised $5M in a Series A funding. The firm said that the funding came from Flagship Ventures and Khosla Ventures. The company was founded by scientists Chris Somerville and George Church.
