Google Acquires Doubleclick
Mountain View-based Google said Friday that it is acqiring DoubleClick, a provider of online advertising services, for $3.1B in cash. Doubleclick is owned private equity firm Heller & Friedman and JMI Equity. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year. According to the firms, they will combine Doubleclick's ad management technology with Google's advertising platform and publisher monetization services.
