Motorola Buys Terayon Communications Systems
Motorola said this morning that it is acquiring Santa Clara-based Terayon Communications Systems, in a deal worth approximately $140M in cash. Terayon develops video processing semiconductors used for managing content delivery and bandwidth for digital video. According to Motorola the acquisition will enhance its video infrastructure and mobility products. Terayon will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola, and will remain in Santa Clara.
