San Jose-based Adobe Systems said today that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire Novato-based Scene7, a firm that develops interactive publishing services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Scene7's products automate zoom, dynamic sizing, and other features of rich media web sites. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of May. Adobe said that most of Scene7's employees are expected to join the firm. Scene7 has received venture funding from Moore Capital Management, Hearst Interactive Media, Weston Presidio, and others.
