Arete Therapeutics Raises $35M
Hayward, California-based Arete Therapeutics has raised $35M in an extension of a Series A financing, the company announced Wednesday morning. The round was led by Frazier Healthcare Ventures and Alta Partners, and also included prior investors Three Arch partners, Burrill & Company, and Altitude Life Science Ventures. The round brings the company's total raise to $51M. Arete Therapeutics is developing small molecule therapeutics for the treatment of cardiovascular, inflammatory and metabolic diseases.
