Magnum Semiconductor Raises $27M
Milpitas, California-based Magnum Semiconductor said Thursday afternoon that it has raised $27M in a venture funding round led by Investor Growth Capital. The new round also included investments from WK Technology Fund, KTB Ventures, and Gold Hill Capital, along with the firm's existing investors August Capital and Investcorp Technology Partners. Magnum said that the funding will allow it to accelerate its R&D efforts and fund expanding operations. Magnum Semiconductor develops chips and reference designs for high definition audio/video, and is a spinout of Cirrus Logic.
