Emeryville-based MobiTV, a startup providing delivery of television content to mobile phones, said today that it has opened two new engineering facilities. The firm said it has opened a research and development center in Stockholm, Sweden, and a new engineering facility in Sunnyvale. The center in Stockholm will focus on WiMax and other next generation wireless networks; the new Silicon Valley facility will be in downtown Sunnyvale, and is targeted at drawing from the local talent base in the Bay Area. MobiTV has received more than $125M in venture capital from Adobe, Hearst, and other investors.
