Stion Scores $15M
Mnelo Park-based Stion, a company developing high-efficiency, thin-film solar photovoltaic modules, said today that it has raised $15M in a Series B financing. The round was led by Lighspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst Partners. The firm's existing investors, Khosla Ventures, Braemer Energy Ventures, and Moser Baer Photovoltaics, also particpated. Peter Nieh of Lightspeed will join the firm's board as part of the funding. Stion said the funding will go to accelerate its product development efforts.
