San Jose-based U-Syustems, a developer of automated ultrasound systems used for mammograms, said today that it has received $16.5M in a funding round. Investors in the round include Siemens Venture Capital, which led the round, along with Sycamore Venture Capital, MDS Capital, Radius Ventures, Kinetic Capital and United Investments. The round also included new investors President International Development Corporation, iD Innovation, China Investment & Development Company and TSC Bioventures. The funding will go towards expansion of the company's sales and marketing, along with product development and clinical investigations.
