Warner Music, imeem In Music Streaming Deal
San Francisco-based imeem and Warner Music Group said today that the two are in a strategic partnership. imeem will make Warner's catalog of audio and video content available for free via its advertising-based service. imeem operates an online social network focused on artists and music; the deal will allow users to create playlists of Warner Music Group artists. According to the companies, Warner Music Group has dismissed its claims against imeem, which it had filed in May. In that copyright lawsuit, Warner had claimed that imeem allowed its users to share music and video content without permission.
