Mountain View-based SolFocus said today that it has acquired Inspira, S.L., a Madrid, Spain manufacturer of solar tracking equipment. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Inspira will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of SolFocus. Inspira manufactures solar trackers, which are used to orient photovoltaic panels towards the sun. SolFocus is developing solar concentrators, and is backed by New Enterprise Associates, NGEN Partners and Yellowstone Capital.
