Santa Clara-based Intel said late Friday that it has acquired Havok, a provider of software and services used in the game and movie industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Intel said that Havok will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel. Havok develops software tools used for game and digital animation creators. The firm is based in Dublin, Ireland, with operations in San Francisco, San Antonio, Stockholm, Calcutta, Munich and Tokyo.
