Google Acquires Jaiku
Mountain View-based Google has purchased Jaiku, a "activity stream and presence sharing" service. Financial terms were not disclosed. According to Jaiku, as part of the acquisition it is closing off new user registrations for the service. Jaiku was based in Helsinki, Finland, and was a competitor to Twitter.
