Menlo Park-based DanceJam, a new startup focused on creating an online social networking site focused on dancing, said today that it has launched its site. The firm, which is headed by MC Hammer, has also received an undisclosed amount of funding from Rustic Canyon and other investors. According to the firm, the new interactive community allows dance fans to share, network, and learn dancing. The company said that Geoffrey Arone and Anthony Young of Flock are also involved in the venture; as of press time, the firm's web services were not yet live. Michael Arrington of TechCrunch is also an investor in the firm.
