San Mateo-based AirWave Wireless, a provider of wireless network management and security software, and Aruba Networks said this morning that Aruba has agreed to acquire Airwave Wireless for $37M in stock and cash. Aruba Networks is a provider of enterprise WLAN products, and is based in Sunnyvale. According to AirWave, the firm's employees will continue to develop and support AirWave software products as a business unit of Aruba. AirWave Wireless is venture backed by Westbury Equity Partners, Ignition Partners and Idealab. Aruba is publicly held. The deal is expected to close in Q3 of this year.
