Data Connection, MetaSwitch Get Investment
London-based Data Connection Limited and Alameda-based MetaSwitch, which is a division of Data Connection Limited, said Monday that the firms have received an undisclosed investment from private equity firm Francisco Partners and venture firm Sequoia Capital. Amount of the investment was not disclosed. The firms said the management team of the firms would remain in place. According to Data Connection and MetaSwitch's Chairman, Ian Ferguson, the firm has more than $100M in annual revenues. Morgan Stanley and Slaughter & May advised Francisco Partners and Sequoia Capital in the deal; Wachovia Securities and Linklaters advised Data Connection.
