Pliant Gets $8M For SSD Drives
Milpitas-based Pliant Technology, a developer of solid state drive (SSD) storage, said today that it has raised $8M in a Series A round from Lightspeed Venture Partners. Pliant said its new flash drives are focused on high levels of performance in the enterprise computing market. The firm's founders include Jim McCoy, co-founder of Maxtor and Quantum, along with other storage industry executives.
