Sun Microsystems Closes MySQL Acquisition
Santa Clara-based Sun Microsystems said today that it has completed its acquisition of MySQL AB. The deal was worth approximately $1B. MySQL is the developer of the popular open source database of the same name. Sun had originally announced the acquisition of Sweden-based MySQL in January.
