Accel, Venrock Venture To Southern California
Venture capital firms Accel and Venrock, along with talent agency William Morris Agency and AT&T, said Monday morning that the firms have agreed to create a joint venture to invest in Southern California, "Web 3.0" firms. According to the companies, the new fund will be headed by former RealNetworks strategy head and Disney Online president Richard Wolpert. Accel, Venrock, William Morris, and AT&T said the fund will discover, fund, and build companies specifically focused on the consumer media technology area.
