Foundation Adds Department of Energy EIR
Menlo Park-based venture capital firm Foundation Capital said Tuesday that it has added Michael Bauer as an Entrepreneur in Residence for the firm. Bauer will serve as a participant in the US Department of Energy (DOE) Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) Program, and according to the firm will bridge between the firm's partners and the lab. Bauer was most recently VP of Product Management at BPL Global, and also has served at BigBand Networks. The Department of Energy's EIR program brings together venture capital-sponsored entrepreneurs into three of DOE's National Laboratories to develop plans to commercialize new clean energy technologies.
