Loopt Gets Win At Verizon
Mountain View-based Loopt, which provides a GPS-enabled, social networking and sharing application for mobile phones, has scored a win with Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless said Friday that it will make Loopt available next month on certain Verizon Wireless phones. The Lopt service allows users to share their location with other users, and see where their friends are located. Loopt is venture backed by Sequoia Capital and New Enterprise Associates.
