San Jose-based Adobe Sytems said this morning that a pre-release, alpha version of its Adobe AIR software has been released for Linux. AIR is a suite of tools for building rich Internet applications. The software was previously only available on Mac and Windows platforms. Adobe also said that it has updated its Adobe Flex Builder 3 for Linux software to support creation of Adobe AIR applications. Adobe's new AIR platform is used to create cross-platform, rich Internet applications.
